Goals were down in the second round of Gold Cup group stage games with 25 goals scored over eight matches including the tournament's first two own goals. Only three of the sixteen teams have yet to score at least once in their opening two matches: Cuba, Nicaragua and Trinidad and Tobago. MLSers accounted for five more goals, all from the U.S.'s 6-0 rout of T&T bringing their total for the tournament to 11 led by Gyasi Zardes and Mexico's Uriel Antuna with three apiece.
